"RCMP arrest two B.C. residents in 2000 slaying in India"

"The mother and uncle of Jassi Sidhu, murdered in India on June 8, 2000 in a purported honour killing, were taken into custody in Maple Ridge, B.C. to await extradition.
Yesterday, the RCMP's "E" Division, based in Vancouver, announced the arrests. Taken into custody were Malkit Kaur Sidhu, 63, and Surjit Singh Badesha, 67. Both are residents of Maple Ridge and are the mother and uncle of Jaswinder (Jassi) Kaur Sidhu, who was 25 at the time she was murdered in India."
